Allow to drop a file (other than image) #7342

Drop a non image file on the editor and it is magically uploaded & converted to a link

In short, it would be really nice to be able to drop a non image file on the editor and have the editor upload it to a server, get a reply back with a link + title + maybe icon, and have the editor insert it at current carret position.

(oh and by the way sorry if it has already been asked, I searched and didn't find it)

Hi, thanks for the report. It will be required to create some file upload adapter to handle different types of files. Related - #5999.

P.S. Did you see CKFinder? It allows to upload files, maybe it will fit your use case?
