Add proper batch object to watchChanges function #369

Fixing warning messages for deprecated string parameter instead of batch object. Closes #331.

Changed the base branch to master - since the issue is not caused by CKE5 version bump. I also edited the history to remove stray merges related to CKE5 v35.1.0 bumps.
