Flashes when opening menus and windows #22

I've just tried this on my laptop (Thinkpad Carbon X1 4th gen), using Wayland with Intel graphics on Arch Linux. HDPI is enabled. With the extension enabled my desktop keeps flashing; it looks like the entire screen momentarily turns black, but so briefly it's difficult to tell. Occasionally a flash will happen spontaneously, but it's mainly triggered by opening windows and menus. Menu flashes seem more pronounced, perhaps they last longer than the others. Turning off application blurring seems to fix it.

Strange, I don't encounter this on arch Wayland with intel graphics + HIDPI on my laptop. Any more info on your setup?

I can confirm it on Ryzen 7 5700U running Gnome 40.1.0 Wayland session. OpenSUSE Tumbleweed.
