i am planning to do the same thing with my own bookmarking software and then make a discovery feed for all the links from instances listed somewhere

I'm not familiar with nblog - what is the purpose of this instead of RSS/Atom, for example?

it's not intended to replace rss or atom, but was made to provide a human-readable spec for storing messages and stuff
