lowercase for abbr? #6

This looks goofy to me:

I would expect CIA, PLO, etc. to be uppercase, and indeed they are in the markeup. They're styled to be lowercase. Why?

They were styled to be lowercase so that a smcp opentype feature (proper smallcaps) can be applied. probably needs a fallback for non-opentype browsers. also will be checking with Fontdeck the an OpenType version of the Premiera fonts is being delivered.

Further to my last comment, the version of Premiera supplied by Fontdeck includes both smcp and c2sc, the latter meaning that lowercase is not required. Note that the Book and Bold contain these features, but not the Italic.
