Skills you have obtained:
As I went through this APCSP class I was able to obtain many coding and noncoding related skills. When coming into this class I had no experience in coding and was unsure of what to expect. As I progressed through the course I was able to learn how to code in many different languages including Python and Javascript. It amazes me how quickly I was able to learn through the help of the individuals around me. Not only did I obtain the skills of coding but I also learned how to work in a team with many different levels of knowledge. In all of the groups that I worked with in this class we all had different levels of knowledge on certain aspects of our project and were able to bring them all together to do well. I feel that through this class I was able to obtain technical skills, but most importantly I was able to experience working in a team and having the support and help of those around me.
Highs and lows from year:
Through this year I experienced many highs and lows in the class. There were many small highs like getting my blog site set up to big highs where projects were finished and presented. Through this class one of the more significant highs for me is being able to see our final projects throughout the trimester come through and get showcased during night at the museum. Being able to do this really makes all of the hard work that we put in as a team worth it. One of the lows that I felt during the experience in this class was debugging errors for me. Many times I felt frustrated as a beginner not being able to identify what was the root cause of a problem. Through this experience I was able to learn how to push through challenges and learn to have a problem solving mindset to figure out the bugs in my code. When the bugs were fixed I felt a sense of accomplished that motivated me to continue working.
Future plans with CompSci:
As of right now I will no longer be taking CSA next year. After close consideration of my schedule I felt that CSA would not be the best fit for my next year schedule and plan to take it in a later year. Through the process of CSP I felt I was able to gain many skills and would like to have this experience again in the future.
Future plans in Education/Career:
As of right now I have a dream of pursuing a medical career in pediatrics. I would like to attend a four year university after high school and then go to medical school. While computer science was a good skill to acquire I do not have any plans in pursuing computer science as a job in the future. I am interested to see how I will be able to apply the knowledge I have gained to the medical field when I am older and how society will evolve with technology and computer science.

To finish off this reflection I am so blessed and grateful for the friendships I have gained through this class. Being able to work in groups not only allowed me to meet so many new people but bond with them because of this class. I was able to meet so many new people and make so many new friends and feel that without this class I would not be where I am today.
