FR: Request faction of user

Add additional api endpoint to get the faction of a user.

Providing a steam user (maybe id) retrieve the faction the user currently belongs to.

Use case: Automatic verification of users for Discord or other third party websites.

e.g. we could write a discord bot automatically assigning the role warden / colonials to each user, if they linked their steam profile. In this way its easier to make sure only the right ppl have access to confidential information.

As each war the user can decide which faction he chooses its easily possible ppl are assigned to the wrong faction and get confidential information. This API would help to quickly verify that the user only sees information she would see.

More useful information could be returned here too, e.g.

• Rank / Level
• Current squad (should this be public? e.g. knowledge for the other faction)
• Standing in last war or for each war she played in

Bumping this up. Clans being able to check and moderate their members is the way to deal with spies. At the very least what we need is to know which faction the user is locked in.

Im not going to lie expanding the API would be a massive win.

it doesnt even need to provide locations or anything, just regiment, current faction, last seen - roles for last 3 wars... like seriously game changing

Bumping as desirable feature. I am a bot developer for a large Foxhole Discord, and this would simplify role assignment massively.

Additionally to the features proposed in the OP:

• Either allow us to retrieve the time played in current war of a user, or do not return faction as set until they are faction locked
• Allow us to find out if a Steam profile is banned from Foxhole or not
