The Taxonomy is used in Service Provider Organization Profiles and in Solution Offers.

@fgeyer16 The Taxonomy is implemented in the CSIS Drupal Instance and has to be reused in the Profiles Drupal Instance.

We have some other Taxonomies which has to be/should be used on the Marketplace or the Profilöe as well. So we will implement a REST view on the CSIS from which the other site will fetch the taxonomies periodically or manualy triggerd if there are changes.

What for is the sector taxonomy used in CSIS? Where and when is the sector taxonomy used in CSIS?

What for is the sector taxonomy used in marketplace?

1. In their profil suppliers mark which sectors they have expertise for and want to deliver to.

2. Also solution providers (have to) provide a profile. a) Commercial outfits mainly have not a single product, but more of them. b) The finer the granularity of the taxonomy the better they can map their products and services spot on.

3. When advertizing a project (infrastructure to build/refurbish) project managers want to get proposals that match their projects the best way. a) Besides "hardware" and implementation they need to attend to financing. Institutes assessing their project categorize it to known assets, easier for them to comprehend. b) CSIS taxonomy is to course for that, but overall exhausting. It nearly covers all Worlbank taxonomy headlines. c) Marketplace taxonomy is totally useless and needs to be replaced.

Question: Can the CSIS taxonomy be refurbished without "damaging" the whole system?

It is used in Studies and Solution Offers . Since Studies are closely related to Projects and Solution Offers are closely related to Profiles, the Taxonomies must be identical.

Can the CSIS taxonomy be refurbished without "damaging" the whole system?

Yes, there are not so many entities in the CSIS that use the Sectors Taxonomy at the moment, so we can change it. This has to be done before internal and external providers enter their their Solution Offers and Profiles in CSIS and marketplace, respectively

That will be great! So we start with an accepted basis. I guess if need be we can make additions on a deeper level, e.g. for cultural heritage projects. But we will see to it if we get there...
