Purpose of this repo?

Is this supposed to be the official repository for the clarity language? The reference seems quite out-of-date/incomplete, and many of these issues seem to be multiple years old and unresolved.

If this is no longer the official place for questions/issues with the language, perhaps this repo should be changed/moved, at least with some note telling folks where to go.

👋🏽 This repo was created with the intention to be a home for Clarity, somewhat independent of the implementation in Stacks (c.f. https://www.algorand.com/resources/ecosystem-announcements/blockstack-and-algorand-adopt-clarity-smart-contract-language)

But as you rightly note, it hasn't been kept up-to-date. And I agree, it's probably adding confusion in terms of where new language feature requests should go etc.

Let me bring this up in the next blockchain weekly (Oct 3), thanks for flagging! 🙏🏽

In going through issues in the stacks-blockchain repo related to Clarity, I was going to make a discussion topic in the SIPs repo for ideas for the next update of Clarity, but after some discussion, we decided it makes sense to revitalize this repo for those discussions first. When we feel there is some organization around a proposal for the next version of Clarity, then it would move to the SIPs repo.
