1.What is the history of Blockly and who their developers?
2.What was the influence and important applications which have influenced you?

1.What is the history of Blockly and who their developers?

Blockly started at Google three years ago as a replacement front-end for App
Inventor. App Inventor was using a Java-based blocks UI that was difficult to
install and had bugs:

Blockly grew into an open source editor that anyone can use and contribute to.
Its primary developers are still at Google.

2.What was the influence and important applications which have influenced you?

App Inventor was obviously the most influential, since the original goal was to
create a web-based drop-in replacement for their UI. A significant but less
obvious influence was Google Docs. Having previously worked on that codebase
for several years, Blockly benefited from JavaScript experience and
internationalization lessons learned from developing Google Docs.
