This is really pretty minor but I've noticed that we have some inconsistencies in the nomenclature we use and we may want to make is more consistent throughout the package at some latter point or may be not :shurg:
cmip vs esm: I refer to cmip when we want to talk about the range and esm when I talk about individual models, but our package data individual_cmip = output from the individual esms that participated in the cmip, and esm_comparison = data that describes the cmip range.
