Could you please take a look at some possible features which would be great for scientific content? For example:

Math (mathjax for example)
Proofs/Theorems
Examples/Exercises
References
Bibliography/Citations

Some ideas could be brought from ScholarlyMarkdown

What do you think?

Hi @anderflash

it could be interesting indeed, but I am afraid that I don't have the resource and time to work on this feature at this time. I hope someone could read this and propose a PR!

For MathJax, This is most simple method. (Temporary solution) Just Copy&paste next code into your .md document's first line.
