TIMELINE GADGET: Object error in IE (Google Gadget version) #9

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create timeline based on Google Docs spreadsheet
2. Open resulting page in IE (tested with 7.0.5730.13)
3. TimeLine object results in [object error] message

Has anyone found a workaround for this problem with the gadget version of
Timeline?

Sorry, I have no information or knowledge about the Google Gadget version of
Timeline. If you want to progress the issue, the next step would be to write to
the
email list to see if anyone can provide any tips. First thing to
check/understand is
exactly what software gets used when adding a Google Timeline Gadget. Is the sw
from
the MIT site? From elsewhere? How can the sw be updated? Can you supply your
own
version of the sw as a gadget? If so, you'd be able to try using the latest ver
of
Timeline.

Updated title.

I'm experiencing the same error as reported by brgaww. Whenever I view my
embedded
timeline in IE7, I get a dialog box with says Windows Explorer Error [object
ERROR].
You can see it here: http://www.calvin.edu/admin/president/report/2008/year-in-
review/

When I view the same spreadsheet directly in IE, the error message reads,
Line: 159
Char: 21
Error: 'Timeline.DefaultEventSource.Event' is null or not an object

The speadsheet/timeline is viewable at: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?

Any ideas?

Thank you,
Luke
