Dual boot Windows installation of Clear Linux fails at installing the boot loader #788

Describe the bug I’m trying to install the latest version of Clear Linux next to an existing Windows installation but the installation always fails at the boot loader installation. Installation logs: clr-installer.log. It isn't clear for me what goes wrong. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. I'm starting from an existing Windows installation with 150 GB free space left on the disk
  2. Choosing for the advanced installation (manual partitioning)
  3. Use the names and labels from the official docs

    • CLR_BOOT partition with label boot
    • CLR_ROOT partition with label root
  4. Start the installer from the live desktop

Expected behavior I would expect the installer to also install the boot loader but this step fails.

Additional context I've also tried the Safe Installation option to use the unallocated disk space but without a better result.
