PA went fron autoconf to meson... which means we need to do a pile of work porting our few buidsystem patches over...

... once we consider that we might as well consider switching to pipewire instead since in either case theres a real risk of audio breaking, and pipewire seems to be the industry long term direction

but that's not a casual "oh just bump it" kind of change either way
