Description:

brlaser: Brother laser printer driver brlaser is a CUPS driver for Brother laser printers.

Although most Brother printers support a standard printer language such as PCL or PostScript, not all do. If you have a monochrome >Brother laser printer (or multi-function device) and the other open source drivers don't work, this one might help.

https://github.com/pdewacht/brlaser seems to be dead since more than 2 years and it seems Pull Requests will not be handled anymore. https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/stenstorp/brlaser/ fails building for "newer" versions of EL resp. Fedora, and therefore not a single successful build could be found there: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/stenstorp/brlaser/builds/

For this reason the official Fedora package printer-driver-brlaser (offered in the regular Fedora repository) is based on a fork which includes some corrections and supports more (recent) Brother printers as well: https://github.com/ondrejbudai/brlaser
