Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
xfce/Thunar under Clear currently doesn't show thumbnails for video or image files because tumbler and its dependencies are missing. This is the main reason why I am currently unable to use Clear as my desktop OS as I personally regard this as a must-have feature. I realise this depends upon ffmpeg which is also not currently bundled but there are at least two other tickets already open requesting that, to which I have added my support and relevant comments.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like to see ffmpeg, tumbler and ffmpegthumbnailer added to the xfce4-desktop bundle so that image and video thumbnail previews will work when enabled.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I have tested every major FOSS GUI file manager available for Linux and UNIX and Thunar is the only one that supports generating thumbnails for video files stored on a samba share. There are no working alternatives at present under Linux. Nautilus/files, Dolphin, Caja, pcmanfm etc do not support video thumbnail previews on network drives.
