Open jurobystricky opened 5 years ago

To Reproduce Right click on any application icon in gnome desktop "Favorites". (This example uses "Files") This pops up a menu. Select "Show Details"

Observe a message: Nautilus : "Unable to find org.gnome.Nautilus.desktop"

The problem is consistent for all apps in the "Favorites"

Expected behavior

Displayed installation details regarding the app.

Environment (please complete the following information):

Identical behavior on two systems with CLR (NUC and VirtualBox)

I'll take a look into this.

This is related to mapping the applications to a "what provides" functionality in gnome-software.

We are still missing this feature for the swupd integration into the "Software" application, but it's not in our top To-Do list yet. @josuedhg is the one taking care of this at the moment, so I'm reassigning this issue.

@iphutch @tpleavitt may want to talk with @josuedhg to re-define priority.

IMHO this shouldn't be a high priority as it does not block the "Software" app functionality for installing/removing bundles.
