Seen a few folks mention rubbing on BZI for 2.4 and Doom...never thought anything of it but i have been chasing a persistent z issue that only manifests on my DoomCube with very tiny z moves like a .2mm z hop. After rebuilding and replacing every component in my Z motion system I eventually realized that the rubbing on the Z idlers is very likely the cause.
The issue is that the Z idlers for 2.4 and Doom are modeled using a 9mm idler width of 13mm, however gates idlers are 14mm end to end
In the CAD I can see the opening itself is exactly 14mm because it is expecting the idler to be 13mm which is not correct.
I cant say for sure but I think a majority of Z idlers used are modeled after the dimensions of gates idlers. This causes rubbing and binding if the parts are not sanded.

There is a mod for essentially exactly this issue however it might make more sense to make this the default. Either that or add a note that these are not modeled to gates spec. https://github.com/clee/VoronBFI/tree/main/usermods/LillianaMirrors/
