It did work as of 2 months ago, when I last used Bumblebee. I haven't tested it since then since I don't need the GPU as of now, so I'll check it soon, when I have my hand on the laptop again.

I read online that bumble bee doesn't work anymore. Does this still work? Any new updates?

bumblebee was still working for me as well last time I tried. Note, I updated to ubuntu 18.04 but continued to use my old kernel with bumblebee built already. I have recently been experimenting the nvidia-prime but have not succeeded with that yet.
I am not sure if Arch is on the same Bumblebee/Nvidia driver version, so I'll have to check this out aswell, since I am not running Ubuntu anymore but Arch
UPDATE: I can't update the system at all for now, my school's lab needs the system to be up and running with old research that's incompatible with current Nvidia drivers. I really need to containerize this project before I can update the system and tell you how it's working with current packages from pacman
