It is mentioned that the patient should be directed to the doctor when the symptoms do not correspond to any known illness, but in this combination, whilst diarrhea and chills are not linked to insomnia, they are not mentioned that the patient should visit a doctor to get it checked. Thus, the patient may simply buy the medicine for their insomnia without having the causes of their diarrhea and chills found.

Team's Response

We accept that the patient should see the doctor for their diarrhoea despite being dispensed medicine for their insomnia. The program only suggests the best medicine to take given the symptoms. Only when there is no diagnosis would the patient need to see the doctor. The next best alternative when using our software would be to report a new set of symptoms and see the doctor for their unknown illness with diarrhoea as a symptom.
