offline use #90

I've been looking for a way to play amarok playlists on android without success. When I read about the clementine remote and how you can download playlists and their files I jumped at the chance to use it while going for a walk. But it seems that once I turn off my pc the android remote is unusable, insisting on an ip address to continue. Is there an offline mode I don't know about, to let me listen to playlists through the android earpiece?

There are plenty of music players out there, why not use one of them? Clementine Remote cannot play the files itself.

I was (and it now looks like I still am) looking for a music player that can read amarok playlists, as I listen to internet music a lot. I pictured Clementine Remote as the solution I wanted. The other thing I pictured Clementine Remote doing was to hook up the Android device (phone) to an amplifier and control it from the PC - switching roles. If you can tell me the name of a music player that can do these things, please let me know.
