It would be very nice and more informative to see the information in the library how many songs there are as a number, a summary of the whole library and also the space in MB or GB, how much space is used by the music collection, also in days/months/minutes/etc. This feature exist in many players. I hope I did not make a duplicate of this feature request, I searched for it and could not find something related.

Ok, maybe to understand more what I wanted, I attached a screenshot of an Amarok version, I dont know which one, I never used Amarok. But on the screenshot is the idea I have to display how many songs I have in my local collection. It would be very useful for me especially with a large music collection as mine. Since I use now Clementine I dont know anymore how many songs I exactly have in my collection. Ah, the screenshot is a link: http://blog.zx2c4.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/old-amarok-layout.png .

I agree, those three are very useful:

The first and the third now work in playlist, but it would be nice to see it in the library automatically.

Riding on these things being desirable, I would o so much like to see the cumulative file size of selected tracks, by hovering over the status bar, or over the file size column, or given in the 'edit track information' dialog.

I think displaying such general library information would be useful and I would like to see it implemented - as long as there's no performance penalty (it might be interesting/amusing to say the total playing time of the library, but if it means constantly recalculating...)
