I used REM GENRE "Rock" or REM GENRE Rock
No difference. I even tried rescanning the library.

I experienced the same issue. (a full two years later, no less, and on Clementine 1.1.1)
I was able to workaround the issue by moving the file pair out of the library directory, such that it dropped out of Clementine, editing it, (it seems to like multi-word genre's to be enclosed in quotes), then moving it back to the library directory.

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1.Modify any REM tag in a CUE sheet (date, genre) What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I expected the player to detect the changes, and update the metadata of the tracks. This did not happen. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? version 0.7.1 on Linux Mint Debian Edition Please provide any additional information below. If I update the ARTIST or TITLE of the album, the changes show up almost instantly in the player, so it is definitely looking for changes in the cuesheets. I tried renaming the audio/cue files, removing and re-adding the album to the library etc. Nothing works.
This is a fairly large setback for me, because I can't group by genres, as almost every cuesheet has bogus genres or has nothing and it appears as "Unknown"
