What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Install Clementine daily build from Ubuntu PPA.

  1. Log in to KDE.
  2. Start Clementine.
  3. Hide the window.
  4. Click the tray icon. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The window should appear, but it appears behind the active window. The stable build of Clementine that is in Precise raises the window correctly. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Daily build, Ubuntu PPA, Ubuntu Precise, KDE 4.8.4 Please provide any additional information below. Maybe related to the new "Activate" tray menu item. Thanks for the best music player there is!

I also get this.

Windows 7 Qt 4.8.2 Clementine 1.1.1

Usually whenever this occurs, the tray icon also becomes transparent. The spot is still there where the tray icon should be, there's just no image.

+1. KDE 5.8.3. There is no reason for this behaviour, as if you are going to click on the tray icon you obviously want it in the foreground.

Also, when Clementine window is open and you click on the tray icon, I suppose most people also expect the window to hide again? At least I do because most applications behave like this :)

atroxix commented 7 years ago

I'm not sure anymore what it is related to - now clicking on tray icon behaves correctly: raises Clementine in front of other applications and also closes back to tray icon when clicking on the icon again.

I still get this behaviour. KDE plasma 5.12.7 Clementine Version 1.3.1

Strangely, sometimes (rarely) it works. Most of the time, clicking the tray button or choosing "activate" clementine window shows bellow active window. Very annoying ...
