Various Artists group even when grouping by Artist only #3658

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Set library grouping to "Artist"

  1. Observe the "Various Artists" group What is the expected output? What do you see instead? When grouping by only Artist, I expect to see one group for each distinct value of the Artist tag. As it is now, it's behaving exactly the same as when grouping by "Artist/Album", just with the album subgroups ignored. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 1.1.1 on Linux and Mac OS X (same library, synced through ownCloud). Please provide any additional information below. It was a while since I used Amarok (1.4 of course), but I do think it behaved as I expect.

Same issue. In fact I have a double CD where CD1 is grouped as "Artist" but CD2 is grouped as "Various Artists". If I edit track information, I can see that the artist on every track is "Artist". I'm using Clementine 1.2 on Debian Wheezy.
