Clementine closes withount any crash-pop-up window #3758

Hallo ,

The promlem with clementine is that in the beginning a window was coming up saying "LibraryBackend: database disk image is malformed Unable to fetch row" each time i was trying to run it. I could play the songs from my library though. Then i tried to fix the problem so i rename the database folder (witch i found in this location ~/.config/Clementine/clementine.db) and i delete the old one. After that i did a full library scan. Now there is no pop-up window coming up but instead of this there's something else. When i am trying to play a song from the "Files" tab (on the left) the moment i click upon the list with the bands or songs the window disappears instantly without any reason or any crash-pop-up window. I am trying to fix the problem 2 days now without any further result. I think is a bug but i can't find anything to fix it. Please if anyone could help me i would really appreciate it !! Thanks again

(Im using Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit and my laptop is a lenovo T420, using Clementine 1.0.1)

Update your Clementine (1.0.1 is pretty old), run it from the console and attach the log if it crashes.

I update it to Clementine 1.1.1 , but the issue remains the same

Start it from terminal and post the output from the start to the end as an attachment.

You'll have to wait for someone to look into it. If you are impatient and want to try something, you could try installing an even newer version. They one you're posting logs of is from November 2012 or older. You can get some recent builds at http://builds.clementine-player.org/ubuntu-precise/ Alternatively, you can add the repository with recent versions by following the instructions about half way down on this page: http://www.clementine-player.org/downloads PS: When I said attach a log, I meant put the log in a file and then use a ‘Attach a file’ option here. It's just easier to read through issues without large blobs of text.

This is a bug in the qt-at-spi package that affects lots of applications (example: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qtiplot/+bug/997462 )

You can fix it by removing the qt-at-spi package. From the console run: sudo apt-get remove qt-at-spi

Status: Invalid
