The new "network remote" feature is fantastic. I'm a part time dance instructor and it allows me to start and stop the music and change tracks from my phone while I'm out on the floor instead of always having to run back to the sound booth.

My one problem is that the main studio I teach at doesn't have a wireless network.

I would like to request that the "network remote" functionality be extended to Bluetooth. I'm not sure if the Android app has a separate Google code page, but since this feature request impacts the main program as well I might as well post it here. Thanks for giving this idea consideration.

I don't know if it'll help, but LibreOffice "impress" has a similar feature that allows you to control a slideshow over Bluetooth with presenter notes displayed on your Android device. A look at their code might give you some ideas on how to best implement something similar.

There's an issue tracker for the network remote at https://code.google.com/p/clementine-remote-android/issues/list . Perhaps it will be better to post it there (although I'm sure the dev will see it here too).

Try bluetooth or wifi tethering (you can activate it in the android settings). If a connection is established, you can connect to Clementine from your phone like within a wifi.

I used wifi tethering to test the app when i was travelling, so it works ;-)
