In git version I have added automatic tag replacement, it sets tags to ones from xml files. Does it works good enough for you or do you need a way to set tag replacements for podcasts manually?
Hello sobkas,
The ability to specify the tags manually would be really handy :)
I'm trying to think about it, so does this functionality is still needed?
Sorry to necro. The automatic tagging works for me on Linux Mint. I had to switch to windows 10 and the windows version doesn't do the automatic tagging. It adds in Title, Date but not things like Artist and Album
I subscribe to a lot of podcasts, and i use Google Play Music for accessing my media library. I have all my music tagged up to make it easy to find on devices with smaller screens (i went from 500+ 'genres' to 14 which helps on a mobile phone).
If i download some podcast episodes i have to manually change all the tags before uploading to google play.
It would be really useful to have some extra input fields when adding / editing a podcast, that lets you specify the genre, artist and album for each subscribed podcast, then when the episodes are downloaded their tags are automatically updated to the one's you specified.
Is this something that would be challenging to implement in clementine?
