Windows 8.1 and "Play" Button #4752

Hello!

I am using the latest version of Clementine on Windows 8.1 (64 bits). When i clicl on the "Play" button, the playback never starts automatically. I always have to click on "stop, then "play" again, and repeat this until it eventually starts playing the music.

If you need some more infos to solve the problem, i'll happilly provide them, Clementine is my favorite music player!

Thanks in advance!

I have a similar problem. Windows 8.1 64 as well. For me it seems linked with the file type : no problem for my mp3 and ogg but some flac (not all) have problems. Seems related with the encoding (maybe replay freq).

Your issue happens also to me. In my case I'm on Windows 7 64bits, for MP3 sometimes, for WMA frequently. Also player crashes randomly, later I force close the program and start it again.

More infos found on this issue. It's not related to the "play" button itself, but to the mere fact of attempting to play something particular. Encode a flac file with unusual replay freq, say, 15 khz, 26khz, or whatever not "standard" (i.e. certainly not 44.1). Have the encoder not add any tags or whatever similar information in the file, only the music itself. Now play it with Clementine and you will see.

Got the same issue, used an identical file and tried in in Gentoo x64 and WIndows 8.1 Pro x64, same problem, so it's not os-dependend --> Confirms meynaf's theory.

//fixed with the latest releases, just download something like 1.2.3 1060 or above. Did the job for me.
