OS X El Capitan not showing songs in library when "part of a compilation" ID3v2 mp3 tag is set

  System information

Please provide information about your system and the version of Clementine used.

• Operating System: OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)
• Clementine version: 1.3.1 (but also tested earlier versions up to 1.1.0)

  Expected behaviour / actual behaviour

I expect all songs under the music library folders to show up in Clementine's music library. On OS X El Capitan, all mp3 files that have the ID3v2 tag "part of a compilation" set, do not show up in Clementine's music library.

Steps to reproduce the problem (only for bugs)

On OS X El Capitan, put one mp3 with the "part of a compilation" ID3v2 mp3 tag enabled and another mp3 with the tag disabled in the same folder. Add that folder to Clementine's library folders and rescan the library. => the mp3 file with the "part of a compilation" tag UNSET will show up on Clementine's library, the mp3 with the "part of a compilation" tag SET will not show up, there is also no playlist for the compilation at all in Clementine.

Additional observations:

• Simply modifying the tag and rescanning the library will make mp3 files appear and disappear from Clementine's library.
• All mp3 files are imported (correctly) into Clementine's sqlite database: when querying that database, all mp3 files are present, and the "part of a compilation" tag is shown as set or unset for all all songs in the library. Looks like there is no import problem into the database at all here.
• I have tried with different build of Clementine (1.3.1, 1.2.3, 1.2.2, 1.1.1), and they all fail to show the mp3 files in Clementine's library. I deleted the "~/Library/Application Support/Clementine/" between uninstalls and installs of different versions, but the problem was present on all versions.
• I tried Clementine 1.3.1 on OS X Lion Mountain on another computer, with the same set of mp3 files, and they show up fine, with or without the "part of a compilation" tag set. The compilation also shows up nicely under various artists in Clementine as it is supposed to do.

So I am quite sure the problem is related to El Capitan and not to a specific version of Clementine.

I am not sure if there is anything else I can do at this point to solve this. Note that I also came across this unresolved issue which may be the same issue: https://github.com/clementine-player/Clementine/issues/4797 but since that issue was a little vague on details, I decided to create a new issue with hopefully enough information in it for someone to be able to help me out here.
