Scrobbling button toogles when jumping forward in a song using the progress/mood bar #5431

Before posting

Please follow the steps below and check the boxes with [x] once you did the step.

Please provide information about your system and the version of Clementine used.

When scrobbling is disabled (button is greyed out) and I jump forward in a song, the scrobbling button should remain greyed out. Instead, clementine marks the button as enabled, meaning it's scrobbling. When changing songs, the button goes back to being greyed out. This behaivor makes me wonder if it's actually toggling scrobbling when jumping forward in a song or it's just the image in the button. Nonetheless this is a bug.

Steps to reproduce the problem (only for bugs)

I'm logged into Last.fm, I have selected to NOT scrobble any songs. This means that icon next to the progress/mood bar is greyed out. Then I jump forward in a song, by simply clicking on the progress/mood bar some position ahead. Right after clicking, the bug will show.

There haven't been any major releases of Clementine since I reported this bug and I don't have the time to compile the newest code from GitHub to check if this bug has been fixed. I would appreciate if anybody could at least confirm that this is reproducible on the stable version and if this is still happening on the latest GitHub code.

This always bothered me over the years, I finally decoded to look for a bug on this, and its here.

I can not confirm it on the latest Github code but on various latest version that ship with the Ubuntu PPA and now on open suse Tumbleed the latest version still have this issue.

clementine marks the button as enabled, meaning it's scrobbling.

I do not think this was true at least its not true for me and never was.

The icon/button only toggles visually. I I have my last.fm account setup but I disabled scrobbling by hitting the button it turns to grey colors. As soon as I seek in a song the icons will return to its colored state but clementine will actually not scrobble the song it just looks like scrobbling is enabled for all the songs you seek in.

Strange that his got no attention or confirmation since 2016. I guess people either do not scrobble or just have it always enabled. 2k issues is a lot, nothing that important but annoying and maybe easy to fix.
