Before posting

Please follow the steps below and check the boxes with [x] once you did the step.

System information

Please provide information about your system and the version of Clementine used.

Expected behaviour / actual behaviour

Expected behaviour: application is expected to show progress while sca nning library and don't taking too long to analyse. Actual behaviour: infinite library scanning showing 0% progress.

Steps to reproduce the problem (only for bugs)

I have six tabs (six playlists), with 10 songs in each one (average). Music playing is fine but the application is scanning infinitely and showing 0% progress, while this I'm unable to change any song metadata. captura de pantalla de 2017-02-05 20-53-32

OS in spanish :stuck_out_tongue:

Later (sometimes and after a long time) player got crash. Random and repeat are disabled. Music files are stored on a NTFS partition (shared with Windows), music collection is quite big (1911 songs in 9.6 GB), all songs with its corresponding metadata and few ones with covers.

Same problem here: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty, x64, Clementine 1.31 (latest stable) Shared music on ntfs partition.

Clementine wont exit in this running state (library search 0%). When pressing the Quit button, the clementine main window will close, but the indicator in unity menubar will remain and wont have any further functionality (you can open the indicator menu, but no entry works). Have to killall clementine in terminal after this.

@padre629 can you confirm this?

update: Its the same with the 1.3.2 RC1 beta package (the latest I found).

This was happening to me on the latest stable release. Upon updating to 1.4.0rc1-888-g10570316d, the problem was fixed
