Before posting

Please follow the steps below and check the boxes with [x] once you did the step.

System information

Please provide information about your system and the version of Clementine used.

Expected behaviour / actual behaviour

Expected that songs would progress from one to the next with silence in betwen songs. Actual is that a beep is played between every two songs. I looked for a configuration variable for this, but didn't find anything like that.

Steps to reproduce the problem (only for bugs)

Play two songs, one after the other. Take note of a beep between the two songs.

Try different Output device: изображение

I too have this issue. I have tried all the available output devices and the issue persists. I am also on linux mint 21.1 and clementine version 1.4.0 rc-1

Same issue here. LMDE 5 (elsie) and Clementine 1.4 rc2. I have tried to change the output device and the sample rate but nothing has changed.

So with 1.4.0rc1-900-g3f572a413 I don't have the problem. As for the rc2 versions, I believe they are supported here Ubuntu clementine package.

OS: Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye) @ RaspBerry Pi 4

I have just solved the "issue" (not properly an issue, rather a behaviour). It depends on the audio settings of the OS. In the System tray go to "sound settings" then to the "sounds" tab. Scroll the "sounds" list and turn off the "show notification" button. It happens due to the notification with the artist and song info that appears between a song and another, turning off the notification sound will disable the annoying beeps.
