Position Overview:
Are you passionate about social media and storytelling? Do you want to use your skills to support an organization making a real difference in Africa? CLENT Africa is looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to join our team. In this volunteer role, you will help manage and grow our online presence, creating engaging content that highlights our projects, impact, and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in creating and implementing social media strategies across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
Design and schedule posts to promote CLENT Africa’s initiatives related to climate change, renewable energy, and social empowerment.
Replying to comments on all your assigned social media platforms
Monitor social media trends, community engagement, and provide insights to optimize content performance.
Collaborate with the team to develop campaigns that drive awareness and support for our programs focused on women, children, disability inclusion, and climate resilience.
Assist in growing followers and engagement through targeted outreach, partnerships, and interaction with our online community.
Track and report on social media metrics, providing recommendations for improving reach and engagement.
Qualifications:
Experience or strong interest in social media marketing, digital marketing, or related fields.
Basic knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Strong copywriting skills is a plus.
Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Passionate about CLENT Africa’s mission and social causes like climate change, renewable energy, and gender and disability inclusion.
