Hi Clerk,
I am providing pre-packaged ptex-ng for TeX Live via the tltexjp repository, but it is always hard to see when there are changes.
I do the same with harftex, and Khaled always tags a release so that I get a notification about changes.
Could you do something similar so that I don't have to do guess-work when a recompile is necessary?
Another item: the precompiled x64 linux binary uses an extremely new libc, I cannot even run it on Debian/unstable! Might be better to provide builds on from older releases. I do builds for my binaries on Debian/stretch.
