Reset not working after update #3

Hi, I have updated to 1.9.5 and this app stopped working. After wake up, sound does not work. So I use this app and audio devices disappear from AudioMIDI.app

After that, when I reinstall drivers with multibeast, audio starts working without restart.

Is there any way, how can I fix it? Thanks

edit: $ sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext Password: (kernel) Can't unload kext com.apple.driver.AppleHDA; classes have instances: (kernel) Kext com.apple.driver.AppleHDA class AppleHDAStream has 20 instances. Failed to unload com.apple.driver.AppleHDA - (libkern/kext) kext is in use or retained (cannot unload).

$ sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext Password: $ killall coreaudiod

Reinstaling kext with KextBeast works too.

I've been having the same issue on 1.6.0, since upgrading to Yosemite. Also noticed this in the Console:

10/24/14 9:59:38.558 AM Reset Audio[408]: SecOSStatusWith error:[-34018] The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error -34018 - Remote error : The operation couldn‚Äôt be completed. (OSStatus error -34018 - client has neither application-identifier nor keychain-access-groups entitlements))

Upd, Nov 25: The issue seems to have gone away by itself at some point. Upd, Dec 4: Aaand it's back.

I have the same problem since the latest security update. Should anyone find a working solution, please share it!

:+1: same here, loved this util w/ Mavericks, but upgraded to Yosemite and no longer works. Was hoping to avoid the kext patching stuff. Blech.

Hey all,

Sorry I haven't touched this since Yosemite dropped. I personally haven't had any audio issues since Yosemite but I myself am using Clover. I'll see if I can carve out some time to look into this issue.

Hi, In my case, the need for resetting appleHDA completely went away when I changed system definition from Mac Pro to iMac while trying to fix this issue. No idea why that helped
