The boundary behaviour of these functions isn't what we want. We get spurious oscillations, which disappear in the middle of the interpolation. This is related to how the boundary conditions are specified. I'm not sure what exactly is wrong here, I will need to ask Nicolai.

This causes issues for:

creating monthly values from our annual-mean values
calculating our seasonality
creating our finer grids

Fixed the time stuff with #70. Finer grids should build on that
