This is listed as the type of our contributionRole. Is it a vestige of something?

I'm pretty confident it is. I would assume it should be bound to the VS020 ContributoryRole type and thus @id.

I replaced the ExternalConcept datatype from the A008 contributionRole attribute thus removing its existence.
