Thanks @clintavarghese !

Peer Feedback:

It is now time for the peer feedback round for Mini-Project #01. Please review @clintavarghese's submission for this mini-project and provide peer feedback.

Using the rubric at https://michael-weylandt.com/STA9750/miniprojects/mini01.html#rubric, please grade their submission out of a total of 50 points.

For each of the five categories, please give them a separate score and provide a total (sum) score across the entire assignment. Feel free to assign extra credit if you feel it is warranted (following the rubric).

If you give a score of less than 5 for any category, please provide a suggestion for improvement. (You can also give suggestions for any element they did well - more feedback is always great!)

As you go through this peer feedback exercise, think about what you particularly like about this submission and how you can incorporate that approach in your future work. If something is particularly insightful or creative, give some kudos!

Evaluators: This should take you around 15 minutes per peer feedback. You are not required to engage in substantial back-and-forth with @clintavarghese, but you are of course welcome to initiate a discussion.

@clintavarghese: please engage fully with your peers. They are here to help you!

Submission URL should be: https://clintavarghese.github.io/STA9750-2024-FALL/mp01.html

Feel free to link to other repos, the course documentation, or other useful examples.

Thanks! @michaelweylandt

Hi @clintavarghese

Here is the breakdown for my feedback.

Written Communication: 9/10 Overall I think you did an excellent job communicating in your report. There are a few things I would point out that I would have liked to see in your report. Some of the jobs your code did were described but no actual code was included, such as the table joining portion and the part where you filtered the data for 400,000 UPT transit systems. I think including this code would have been helpful, especially if someone were to look at this project with no context. Another thing I noticed was that the task listings skipped "Task 3", it went from 2 to 4 even though everything was answered as required by the guidelines.

Project Skeleton: 9/10 The only thing I want to point out again is that for Task 5, the code completes the required task as seen in the output table but we don't actually see the code anywhere. I would include this for reference again, just to make it accessible to anyone viewing this report.

Formatting & Display: 13/10 The visual graphs you implemented to annotate your findings went beyond the scope of what was asked for! I think they help demonstrate your findings in a meaningful way.

Code Quality: 10/10

Data Preparation: 10/10

Total: 51/50

Overall I enjoyed going through your report, and there are many things I learned that I would like to incorporate into my own future projects.

@cliu98 Thank you so much for your detailed feedback. One of the main reasons why I did code fold for the most part is because I did not want to make it too lengthy. But I think that will be a great idea to add a few main codes for Tasks table joins, and filters.. as you suggested. Please free to look at mp01.qmd file for detailed codes.

Hi @clintavarghese,

Written Communication: 9/10 Project Skeleton: 9/10 Formatting and Display: 13/10 Code Quality: 10/10 Data Prep: 10/10

Total: 51/50

I think you did an amazing job! I only have 2 suggestions: 1) consider incorporating full code into your report vs providing it upon request, since it's required 2) consider suppressing the package loading info/comments
