[DEV, transmission and Headphones] Torrent not removed #210

Hi man!

Is not a big deal, just to tell you, I configured nzbtomedia script do hardlink and under torrent delete original is 1

But after the download complete and the successfully download the torrent still remain in transmission.

Can you provide a log? As far as I am aware, this should be deleting, but really the logs will tell me just what is and isn't being executed.

can you confirm if /media/TwoTera/Download/torrent/musica/Green Day - 39Smooth actually exists... also confirm the user/group and file permissions...

I just did a test here and the script runs past this point...

Tried with the last dev and clean installation, the log stop at the same point and the file on transmission is still in place

Someone else reported an issue with another category... I finally tracked down a simple name mismatch that was stopping the script... turns out this would also cause the failure you have experienced...

Are the files still present or is the torrent just sitting in Transmission with no files? What logging do you have in Transmission?

Ok.. this now links/moves all files to temp location and then after processing (original files are removed) it will move these (temporary) files back so that seeding can resume. In your case, it moves them back and then tells transmission to delete them.

The issues was when we told Transmission to delete them, because they had already gone, it failed... Also, I previously resumed seeding AND THEN, deleted... now I only resume seeding if NOT deleting... So this should be resolved.

This will only work when you set autoProcessMedia [Torrent] outputDirectory = something different to /share/Download/transmission/completed

Try /share/Download /transmission/processed or similar.

So how do you set that in headphones or is it handled by a call from the script?

The only setting I have in headphones is music download directory and post processing final destination folder. There is no setting for post processing input folder.

Thus the processing fodder is the download folder correct?

In SB and CP I have a setting for download directly which in my case equals "transmission/download/(categories)"

Post processing folder which is "transmission/completed/(categories)"

Then Final folder which SB or CP moves to once processing is complete which is multimedia/(categories).

Thus to get the behavior I think I want I must set download directory in headphones to /transmission/completed/music.

Then the script tries to move the files which in realty they are all ready in completed directory.

Am I way off on this?

You are not way off... In fact that is how you should set it... Then, what the script does is create a link of all the original files to the outputDirectory (as specified in autoProcessMedia.cfg [Torrent]. It also extracts any archived files back to /transmission/completed/music and calls HeadPhones to process these files.

At the end of all this, once your music is in the final music library location, my script will clean up /transmission/completed/music, and then move back all original files from outputDirectory to transmission/completed/music so that seeding can be resumed (of course if DeleteOriginal is used, these are all just deleted)

This probably sounds a little convoluted, but as HeadPhones will only scan the folder that it sends the torrents to, this is the only method I could come up with....

Thanks just trying to make sure I had it set up right as I keep getting the following in the logs and it was throwing me off. Thanks for the help all is working fine.

that is where I would set autoProcessMedia.cfg [Torrent] outputDirectory = /share/Download/transmission/processed

this will avoid the "target file already exists" comment and will allow you to seed the files afterwards. If you don't want to seed afterwards, then just leave it as is.

No "real" plans at this time... I kinda fell into doing Python work... my web-scripting skills are essentially zero at this time.

It is something I would like to offer. I was really happy to modify my scripts to work with NZBGet when I say how these scripts just added fields into the NZBGet webUI and therefore all configuration could be done this way... but that only works with NZBGet and isn't available for other Downloaders...

These were only ever post-process "scripts"...
