Previously, prior to all the latest code changes; TorrentToMedia would hardlink from the seeding directory to a process directory; from which SickBeard would then process, unrar, move, etc.

With latest updates, TorrentToMedia ignores any hard linking and sends the seed directory, original, to SickBeard.

Is this by design? I have SickBeard performing unrar (I've found it more capable), so I need it to perform in a processing directory and leave seeding alone. The original working order, TorrentToMedia doing a hardlink, then SickBeard set to move, was working perfectly.

Any advice?

I'm currently recoding that area right now and hope to have this 100% resolved, Ill post a new dev shortly for you to test.

Same issue.. not understanding nzbExtractionBy = Destination...

I'm just in the middle of re-coding the extractor so I should have a test for you to run in the next few.

hard linking is successful, proper reading of category from autoProcessMedia.cfg is correct.

it's expecting to find a video file.. however, this isn't always the case, as I have nzbExtractionBy = Destination

I've found SB is better with encoded filenames; so I tend to let SB run it instead of downloader...

also, setting everything from SAB as failed... this one is confusing me. it's doing it to everything coming from SAB.

looks to be same thing; it is finding that nzbExtraction hasn't been performed, so it's marking failed. but with nzbExtraction = Destination, it shouldn't do that.

Actually scratch that last comment, what I'm doing is adding in the ability to have ALL processors have the choice of either us doing the extraction or them doing the extraction, if we do the extraction then we can perform file corruption checks and if any found we simply fail that download so that a new download is tried, if the processor does the extract then you loose that feature of checking for corruption but it will process files as normal.

I'm 90% finished coding it so just a few more minutes and I'll be ready to release a test run for you.

Ok new DEV release is out, please test and let me know if fixed. Also added in new option called 'extract', set to 1 to have us extract files first or 0 to have process extract after.

extract = 0 not working. it's trying to extract, and failing everything.

with manual run, it's actually processing through everything now.

still same issues, failing when not finding a video file.

Ok tell me if this sounds like it would work for you. If torrent download and file is archive have it extract but not delete the archive afterwards then link ?

would delete original only delete the extracted file? or all archives? i believe all archives?

ideally, link the archive to the processing directory. then you can define extract; which would occur in a processing directory, not messing with the seeding location. if you happen to blow that away, screw up the files, it won't ruin seeding. then we can choose to extract with the script or the destination.

sounds good. thanks. this would act as it did previously. it's the safest I have found. it looks like your extract is working well, so I may switch to that; however, I ran into a bunch of issues before that SB was catching and others were not (wasn't sure why).. hence why I asked for the additions.

here's a side note.. it was a file already processed, so sickbeard cleaned the rar files, but you're script is leaving it in place; even though SB reported it already processed. is there an option i can define to clean up that response only?

If I manually link before, then it runs successfully. If I do manual run to original directory (where it is seeding), it doesn't perform the link and then look for proper directory.

nothing holds on a manual run as manual runs are ment to act just like auto-runs do except its there to save you if something failed and needed your attention to fix first before being able to proceed.

with that being said extract = 0 should stop extract all together so I'll look into that.

respects extract, but now fails with nothing found for media files (archive files)

couchpotato manual run having same issues, extract =1 doesn't do anything, then fails on video files. back to sickbeard testing.

what are the extensions of the files located in those folders and what is set for your exstensions section ?

couchpotato is encoded; there is a par2 and a bunch of .XX files.

sickbeard is .rar and many .rXX

couchpotato one i'm going to call broken. encoding with SAB didn't work.

sickbeard one should work. rar and many rXX.
