Hi 🙂
Having trouble with the Windows version (just updated to v2.4.4).
Each time after updating, even after re-enabling "Notes from clipboard", signing in and out of the program, force-closing it, double checking that the system's clipboard is working, etc, CT does not resume real-time copying.
This has occurred regularly with the desktop updates - can you advise?
The questions: 1) the problem is on Desktop or Android? 2) the mentioned flow finally help to solve the problem or not?
Also please be patient:) I am renaming some internal identifiers to make all apps more similar to each other and let them to be published via different distribution systems. So it can cause the problem. Actually such internal changes should not impact the synchronization logic but who know me..:)
I have also mentioned in the release notes of version 2.4.x that it is required to reinstall the app due to some internal changes. Starting from version 2.4.5 it will not be required. The new release with bugfix is coming soon:) Thanks!
1) Windows desktop
2) "mentioned flow"?
It did eventually start copying again without my doing anything.
-> So as a rule, safe to say new Windows version updates take 5 to 10 minutes to resume real-time copying?
...it is required to reinstall the app due to some internal changes...
Do you mean uninstall the existing version then install the update?

No. After update you should not see the difference and the app should resume real-time copying instantly (with some possible delay in few seconds)

If you have updated the app from version prior 2.4.x then yes. It is better to re-install it. It is my fault that I did not make such structural changes without impact on users:(
Will we need to reinstall with the next update or was that a one time deal?

No. Do not need to re-install anymore. If some steps is required to do after update I will write about it in release notes (release notes should be displayed if you click on the version in 'green notification with the new version')

Also if such happen with one of the upcoming updates please let me know. It is not a normal behaviour.
Does anyone has an idea where we could discuss such questions & problems in a more convenient way? Discord, Slack, Telegram, something else?:)

Hi all 😉
Hope everyone reading this is doing alright...
Feature request (desktop version): Can you add a scrollbar to the notes section?
(current method is to select a note then use the down or up arrow keys, which isn't ideal)
Thanks in advance for considering.

Can I use these commands to grant access to other clipboard apps. I use Pigeon app and would like it to work rather than switching app as its already being used in all my devices.

No. The app must contain a specific logic. Switch on Clipto, it is not going to be closed as Pigeon or any other solution that has already stopped working. Also Clipto is cross-platform and supports desktop and web versions.
Couldn't that logic be added so that we can regain that lost functionality?

What do you mean? Clipto already supports it:)
Wait.. wtf, I sent an email to a dev of another app, a tasker style app that had clipboard functions... How the hell did it end up here on the clipto repo?
Believe me... I know everything there is to know about this app. I've been using it basically since the day it went live and a ton of my suggestions have been implemented.
Jesus I'm confused. Seriously, I sent the guy an email, I didn't post anything here. Looking through my email chain all of a sudden someone else started replying.

I'm also wondering this same thing, as there's a clipboard manager app that I use that I would love to make functional again (the dev has abandoned in). Can this switch/setting/logic be manually added to an already existing Android app?
Technically it is possible, but it is not a line of code that do it. It means that you should understand what to add and how to add it. If you are a developer then here the article that I have written about how it works under the hood: https://clipto.pro/l/wcSDxfTdYnk3wZwm8
It can be added by the devs of that app but personally I wouldn't hold my breath. I'd just switch to clipto. I've been using it since pretty much day 1 and it's a fantastic app and user feedback is important enough to the dev that allot of suggestions (not all) make it into the apps.

Am on Android 13, not having any luck with making ClipStack run again. Any Pointers or am I just out of luck?

Why are you asking here, @Killer-931? This app has nothing to do with the ClipStack.
Clipboard pro is an Excellent application👍🏻 But I have one suggestion. Currently the app cannot have direct access to clipboard in Andriod 10, which is a little complicated. There is another application named Clip Stack. This app uses adb command to have access to the clipboard in Android 10. I suggest you also try this method. Thanks!
