As noted here pages (and content) linked from the "About" context menu isn't easily found. Rather than making more pages "top-level" in terms of the menu structure, I would try to link appropriate content more directly - i.e.
link to Languoid definition from appropriate places throughout the app
link to the News page from the landing page content.
