The usage output is a bit old. In particular it's missing flags for using a password, OAuth token and SSH which makes it clear that the script supports backing up private repositories.
I could supply a patch, but it might be better for you to script regenerating the README periodically, if not discussing doc improvements with the folks who submitted the original patches.
