Following conversations on discord with @Chippy This PR contains two fixes: 1- fixes to the cloud websocket server address 2- fixes to the typescript code that makes the typescript compiler type-checking happy.

I think this might be meant for a different chippy. Either that or my memory is worse than I thought! It's a definite possibility.
