I recall @codebeige expressed interest in organising the shirts, are you still interested?
Sure, I can take care of it. 😀
When is the latest time we would need to order shirts by? Late August?
cotton.de told me last time, that they usually deliver in 7 to 14 days, sometimes even faster. I am currently on a boat trip and plan to finalize the design and prepare the order in week 35.
@codebeige for when you're back, can you email Jean-Louis and Emil (Zimpler desinger) with what the design looks like and answer their questions? I forwarded you the last email
In the past we did not integrate any sponsor logos into the design. The T-Shirts had the sponsor names in plain text on the back. Also for the last workshop we decided against having any event specific information on the T-Shirts, so that we can use overage on upcoming workshops.
This both probably does not hold true for the Zimpler sponsoring. Was there any explicit arrangement? Should I talk to Jean Louis about it directly?
True, in the past we didn't have that, but it's different since Zimpler will be the dedicated sponsor this time. There is no arrangement other than their logo goes somewhere on the t-shirt. But maybe even that can be discussed with them? I guess you can talk to Jean Louis (and their designer) directly. Sorry for the hassle!
No problem, will get in touch with Jean-Louis. Just wanted to clarify and make it explicit.
The ClojureBridge sponsor page clearly states the fact, that the t-shirt sponsoring includes having the logo printed on the t-shirt. So I am no longer questioning that. 🙊
I am still working on the new designs that will incorporate the zimpler logo.
For the printer I will keep going with cotton.de. Unfortunately the EarthPositive models that we had decided on earlier are no longer available.
So I have just picked the respective replacement models for now. As I currently plan to use the Zimpler logo color for printing, I would go with "dark grey" for the t-shgirt color.
After playing around with more colorful options I have now returned to a very discreet design that also feels much more like a continuation of the previous (very well accepted) one.
For that I plan to do the printing in white on dark grey in a single go without any primer or undercoating. This will make it slightly transparent and blend well with the t-shirt color.
I will send the current design to Zimpler for approval and will then request a quote from cotton.de on an order of 100 fitted-cut and 50 straight-cut models.
Is the sponsor listing correct like it is? Have we collected information on the t-shirt size quantities? If so, where can I find it?
✅ Design approved by Zimpler.
hi @codebeige, thanks for your work! love the design :heart_eyes_cat: :100:
that sponsor list looks good  I would add Wooga + Microsoft since they're supporting us with providing locations.
re seizes, we can pull up the stats for you from the attendee list.
shirt sizes stats
Attendees:
Coaches:
Orga:
That is still missing the orga people who did not sign up as coaches. PLEASE POST YOUR SIZE BELOW OR EDIT THIS COMMENT
Also, we can only host 1/3 of attendees. Not sure how to best estimate what t-shirts to order? I guess it's ok if we have some left-overs?
Thank you, this is a very good starting point for estimating a counts for t-shirt sizes. I will update the design including the additional sponsors and ask for a quote from cotton.de.
LambdaIsland will again offer one year of free membership to all attendees. I leave it to the organizers to decide if they want to list LI as a sponsor.
Sure, let's add Lambda Island to the supporter list! Thanks arne! :+1: :100:
Updated sponsor listing:
@codebeige like i said in https://github.com/clojurebridge-berlin/organization/issues/163#issuecomment-329467200 please add Microsoft + Wooga too as they're supporting us with locations. Otherwise looks great! Let's get the order out :rocket:
I will ask for a quote in 60 straight and 100 fitted t-shirts with following sizes:
FITTED CUT
STRAIGHT CUT
I actually like the fact, that it looks more and more like tour dates … 🎸
Thank you @codebeige !
I have now received the final quote from the printer.
I will check with Jean-Louis for payment and invoicing. Where should they be delivered to? Maybe Wunderlist or Wooga?
Shipping them to Wooga would be amazing! @nblumoe do you know (or can you figure out) if we can do that? @codebeige nice staying in the budget ;)
I will find out.
@codebeige you can have them sent to Wooga directly:
Wooga GmbH z. Hd. Swantje Hornemann Saarbrücker Straße 38 10405 Berlin Germany
Swantje asked me when they should expect them to arrive.
@nblumoe Thank you. I will let you know, when I have more details on the delivery.
The t-shirt color is actually darker and cooler as anticipated. So I ended up choosing a warm grey (Pantone 400C) for the print.
Because t-shirts have a long turnaround time, especially if we find a local print shop rather than a big internet corp (which would be pretty awesome), we should assign someone to be responsible for T-Shirt ordering, invoicing, and delivery!
