I was taking a long shot hoping it was a Micro SD in which case I have an
answer for that.
My only suggestion in this case is to make sure your shareware wad is named
"doom1.wad" and not "doom.wad" so that it will be read as the shareware version
and not the full version.
I dont have this problem so I really dont know what else I can do to help you
with this - sorry.

I think problem is caused by Wii System Update 4.3. Game used to work just fine
on my Wii but exactly the same problem occurred after update.

Hello, I had the same issue occur it me but it happened after I updated
WiiDoom. So if you were updating from a previous version make sure to check the
root of the SD card for a directory called 'prboom'.
Everything inside that folder needs to be moved from there to
SD:/apps/wiidoom/data. Once I moved all the stuff I initially had on the root
of the SD (which is where the earlier build required me to have all the files
located) to the location listed above, I tried launching it again and it was
fine.
It may be a simple change but it was big enough to impact me in the same way as
you. It would seem the file locations changed in the later builds so, Hopefully
this will fix your problem.

This is fixed by MrPeanut in our repository. We should have a new binary
available to download later today or tomorrow. (As a bonus: He also got
background music to work!)

I was having the same issue. I would love to see that new binary. Thanks for
improving this port!

We have two small additions to make before the next release: 1)Adjust our
libtimidity so that background music works for SD and USB users. 2)Incorporate
my DOP-Mii drivers for improved USB support. Mr. Peanut is taking care of the
first one because I tried and failed at it :( Afterwards I'll take care of the
second. Depending on how much free time everyone has we should have the next
release probably by end of the week at the latest.

Thank you. It's great to know you found the issue. Having music will be
awesome.
Best regards.

How do I download the fix to this issue

I don't know if anyone gives 2 shots about this anymore, but I do, and its not
working for me. I just downloaded it and I black screen after loading the app.
I have SD:\apps\WiiDoom and stuff inside it, but I don't have a "prboom"
folder. And I have doom 1 (shareware) and doom 1 (full version) and doom 2
(full version)
