The fluent loggregator plugin currently lives in loggregator-ci (https://github.com/cloudfoundry/loggregator-ci/tree/master/docker-images/fluentd). It would be great if the gem was in it's own repo, versioned and published to rubygems.org so users can build their own Docker image and specify their own fluent.conf
loggregator-ci
fluent.conf
This seems to be the way other fluent plugins are are being distributed. See https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/fluent-plugin-google-cloud
We have created an issue in Pivotal Tracker to manage this:

The labels on this github issue will be updated when the story is started.
