Selecting local MikTeX installation gets stuck (dev version) #200

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
* What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to http://dev.latexlab.org/docs
2. Select Compiler - Settings, select MikTeX, and hit OK

* What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
What I see is:
  Loading
Initializing the local LaTeX service. Please accept the certificate when prompted.
However, no certificate appears, the session is stuck, and the only apparent
way out is to hit reload.

This happens in Chrome 5.0.375.127 and Firefox 3.6.8.

Is there any time line as to when this might be fixed / a workaround provided?

Seems there's a config problem on the dev server. Here's the error I see in the
Chrome browser's console when I get the same message:

GET http://dev.latexlab.org/editor_advanced/applet.html 404 (Not Found)

Maybe the fix is easy with this info? Maybe the applet was removed for a reason?

I am experiencing the same issue (win7+Firefox). Is there any update on this?
Thanks.
